Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! All Equinox Glass products are handmade by Alison Slaff Carl in her home studio in New Jersey, USA.
Glass fusing is a form of glass art where different pieces of glass are melted together (fused) at high heat in a glass kiln. Each piece of glass is hand cut using a scoring tool, running pliers, and a grozer tool. Once the design is completed, the piece is moved to a glass fusing kiln where it will stay for the next 12-18 hours to heat and cool slowly, reaching a max temperature of around 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.
Alison has been working in fused glass since 2007.
Alison first learned the basics of glass fusing when she began working as an instructor for Glassworks Studio in Morristown, New Jersey.

While there isn't a hard and fast rule, the more pets that are included, the less room there is for other details. Generally around 4 larger pets (cats or dogs) is a comfortable maximum. Some pieces may be able to accommodate additional smaller pets (bird, turtle).
